Please read the following terms carefully before renting props from Photography Props Co.. By renting from us, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Rental Duration (24-Hour Basis)
- All props are rented on a 24-hour basis.
- The rental period begins at the time of pickup or delivery.
- The product must be returned within the same time window on the following day.
Example:
If a prop is collected at 2:00 PM on Monday, it must be returned by 2:00 PM on Tuesday.
2. Timely Returns & Importance
Timely return is essential as:
- Props are often pre-booked for other clients
- Delays can disrupt scheduled shoots
- It causes loss of business opportunities
- We require time for inspection, cleaning, and preparation
Clients are requested to plan shoots with buffer time for travel or unforeseen delays and inform us in advance if any delay is expected.
3. Late Returns & Additional Charges
If the prop is not returned within 24 hours, the following charges apply:
- 0–2 hours late: Grace period (no charge, subject to prior communication)
- 2–6 hours late: 50% of rental value
- 6–12 hours late: 75% of rental value
- 12–24 hours late: Charged as an additional full day rental
- Beyond 24 hours: Multiple day charges will apply accordingly
4. Advance Booking & Payment Terms
- Prior booking is available up to one week in advance.
- For advance bookings, a minimum of 50% advance payment is required at the time of booking confirmation.
- The remaining 50% balance must be paid at the time of pickup.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy (Advance Bookings)
For confirmed advance bookings:
- 100% refund: If cancelled 10 or more days before the shoot date
- 75% refund: If cancelled 7–9 days before the shoot date
- 50% refund: If cancelled 5–6 days before the shoot date
- No refund: If cancellation is made less than 5 days before the shoot date
This is because props are blocked exclusively for your booking and cannot be allocated to other clients at short notice.
6. Rescheduling Policy
- In genuine cases (e.g., baby health issues or unavoidable emergencies), booking may be rescheduled once.
- Rescheduling is subject to availability of the same props.
- If the exact props are not available, we will provide alternative available dates/options from our side.
7. Security Deposit
- A refundable security deposit is required for every rental. It needs to be paid at the time of pickup along with the rental amount.
- The deposit varies based on the prop’s value and fragility.
- Refund is processed after inspection, provided the item is:
- Returned on time
- In original condition
- Without damage or wear
8. Pickup, Third-Party Collection & Payments
- All pickups/returns are by appointment only.
Clients are encouraged to collect props personally to ensure:
- Correct quality and finish
- Accurate size and suitability (especially baby props)
- No mismatch in expectations
Third-party pickups (Uber/Dunzo/agents/etc.):
- Photography Props Co. is not responsible for:
- Wrong selection
- Size mismatch
- Suitability issues
- Full payment (rental + deposit) must be paid online in advance
- Props will only be released after payment confirmation
- Client remains fully responsible once handed over
9. Usage Outside Pune / Outdoor Shoots
- Props may be taken outside Pune only if returned within the 24-hour window
- Clients must inform in advance for outstation or outdoor shoots
This helps us manage scheduling, especially when props are already reserved for other clients.
10. Condition of Return
All props must be returned in the same condition as issued.
Ceramics:
- No cracks, chips, stains, or breakage
Wooden Props:
- No scratches, burns, stains, or warping
Fabric Props:
- No stains, tears, burns, or permanent damage
- Must be clean and dry
11. Damage, Loss & Deposit Forfeiture
The following will result in partial or full deduction of deposit:
- Breakage or cracks
- Stains or spills
- Scratches or burns
- Fabric damage
- Water damage or warping
Full deposit will be forfeited in cases of:
- Loss of product
- Total damage/unusable condition
- Complete breakage
- Non-return of item
- No communication regarding delay/non-return
If damage exceeds deposit value, additional charges may apply.
Third-party caused damage or loss is fully the client’s responsibility.
12. Extension of Rental
- Extension is allowed only if:
- Prior approval is taken
- The prop is not already booked for another client
- Additional charges will be adjusted from deposit or billed separately.
- If already booked, extension will not be possible.
13. Responsibility of the Renter
- Full responsibility lies with the renter during rental duration
- This includes responsibility for any third party collecting on their behalf
- Any issue must be reported immediately
14. Appointment Policy
- Studio visits, pickups, and returns are strictly by appointment only
- Proper coordination is required to ensure smooth operations
